Frisby College delivers preparation courses for Trinity College Secure English Language Tests (SELTs). We offer flexible and affordable study packages to prepare for SELTs at our College campus in Great Yarmouth.
Trinity provides Secure English Language Tests (SELTs) across the UK. These tests are approved for applications to UKVI for visas, British Citizenship and Leave to Remain:

Graded Examinations in Spoken English (GESE) — A1, A2 and B1 tests

Integrated Skills in English (ISE) — B1, B2 and C1 tests
GESE: Graded Examinations in Spoken English (A1–B1)
Trinity’s Graded Examinations in Spoken English (GESE) are a one-to-one speaking and listening skills test with a Trinity examiner.
Further Leave to Remain (A1)/
Tier 2 (Sportsperson) visas (A1)
For Further Leave to Remain/Tier 2 (Sportsperson) visas you must pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) in at least CEFR level A1 in Speaking and Listening.

Further Leave to Remain
(visa extension) (A2)
People extending their Further Leave to Remain visa after two-and-a-half years in the UK now need to take a speaking and listening English language test (A2) at a SELT centre. Trinity’s GESE Grade 3 is at this level.

For Indefinite Leave to Remain (to settle) or British Citizenship you must pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) in at least CEFR level B1 in Speaking and Listening.

ISE: Integrated Skills in English (B1–C1)
Trinity’s Integrated Skills in English (ISE) Secure English Language Test (SELT) is a test of 4 skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening and has been approved for Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 4 visa applications.
Preparation Courses and Exams
Preparation Courses
We offer flexible preparation courses for GESE and ISE exams which can be studied at our campus in Great Yarmouth or through distance learning. All of our preparation courses provide one-to-one learning with a Frisby College Instructor.
The number of sessions included in your course will depend on the amount of support you need to successfully pass your chosen exam. When registering as a Frisby College learner, we will first assess your current English level and the support you will need. A course schedule and provisional exam date will then be issued.
Examinations
Exams for SELTs are delivered onsite at one of Trinity’s Secure English Language Test Centres (SELTs), the nearest one being Peterborough.
